We are very happy to welcome Richard PeaRce as Head Officer for Planning at CTG
Richard has extensive experience of managing the design, successful implementation and international deployment of fibre and copper networks.
Richard says: “I joined CTG because I’m excited by the opportunity to help develop and expand CTG’s business. I’ve always enjoyed working for organisations that offer something new and I believe the product offered by CTG is unique and it will provide a much-needed solution to many of the issues experienced by social and private landlords and ultimately lead to real improvements for residents.
I’m looking forward to working closely with a senior leadership team who are very experienced and who have a vast understanding of the market.
As Head of Planning at CTG I will be responsible for managing and growing a team of dedicated, well-trained and appropriately accredited staff. Having worked in technical and management roles I’m fully aware of the challenges facing landlords and telecoms companies in achieving the government’s ambitious digital inclusion targets. CTG’s planning and project management teams work closely together to take an integrated approach to successful programme and project delivery and deliver client satisfaction.
My team will design telecoms networks and oversee their installation by partner organisations. We will ensure networks are compliant with all corporate and regulatory requirements and that they meet landlords’ and residents’ needs. The transparency and thorough digital documentation of our auditing process provides landlords with assurance that installations have been carried out to the highest standards and that residents are safe in their homes.
Richard comes to CTG from a range of planning, design and engineering roles in a wide variety of organisations including the PCCW Global, Hyperoptic, Solvings, Eads, Worldcom and HM Forces Royal Corps of Signals.
As a Pre-Sales and Solutions Engineer at PCCW Richard surveyed and designed large scale national solutions for Ministry of Defence sites including health and safety planning for sites. He was the key point of liaison between site and engineering teams creating supportive working relationships between various installation teams.
At Hyperoptic, where he was National Planning and Design Manager, Richard managed a team of design engineers, implemented standards of design and developed thorough internal and external documentation processes creating a safe system of work for Microwave (P2P) engineers and contractors. He also led on staff recruitment, training and development.
As a Network Engineer at Solvings, Richard provided network connectivity for users on all national MOD sites, completed audits in data centres and project planned for network changes ensuring stability and resilience were maintained.
Andy Wells, CTG’s Chief Operating Officer, says: “Richard’s role is central to CTG’s success in designing networks which meet or exceed our clients’ requirements.
He has a comprehensive knowledge of current market technology, is passionate about making a positive impact and has a proven track record of bringing together design, engineering and installation teams to deliver projects on time and to budget meeting both client and stakeholder needs.
Richard’s history in creating and leading successful teams within the telecommunications industry is underpinned by his skills in recruiting, training, developing and managing people promoting a culture of learning and development which can only benefit CTG, our clients and partners.
